Most streaming services will automatically be set up with either monthly or annual auto-renewals. Some services may allow different types of payment methods, like Paypal, but the payment method would still be charged automatically during auto-renewals. In the meantime, one option you can try as a workaround is to pay for the month (or year) of service, and then cancel the subscription. Most streaming services will still give you access to the rest of that month or year since it is paid for. Then you can always resubscribe when you are ready to!
